I really do not like the country theme. My bed has a large cast iron medallion in the headboard. I've tried both yellow and blue, but it makes the room look too country.

I want to pick the right finish to match to my bedding... which is a white comforter with large pink hydrangeas so there is a soft and hot pink with soft sage and lime green color scheme... very subtle... and then I'll pop with sheets and pillows. But I don't know what color of wood finish to have... thought about white as I guess I'm kinda going for a country cottage (but less fussy) kind of style... but I think white will blend in with the bedding too much. Any suggestions?

When it comes to high-end living, the town of Culpeper is moving on up — way up.
Culpeper developers Greg and Liz Yates and their partner Jerry Bledsoe, a builder from Orange, unveiled the first phase of their upscale, three-floor condo complex on Sunset Lane at a lavishly catered open house Thursday.
While other local housing projects went into foreclosure this year, and even as the country struggles to emerge from a deep recession, the Yates team, if not immune, appears well insulated from the downturn.
“I have really good credit,” Mr. Yates said with a laugh at Thursday’s open house. “We could build, so we did, and we hope to come out of this recession ready to go.”
In his several decades as a local builder, Yates said he’s been through six recessions.
“This is the worst I’ve seen,” he added, admitting that going forward with the project made them all nervous. “But we were also optimistic.”
