How to talk parents into buying you new bedroom furniture???

I REALLY really want new bedroom furniture. What I have isn't cutting it (I mean come on a teenager with flowerery furniture) I want a Full sized bed, our little puppy sleeps on my bed and she isnt to happy about the lack of room either. A tall upright dresser, mine is horizontal and it is just to tempting to dump junk on it, i want a new night stand too. I mean it doesn't have to be expensive but I not going to live with this furniture. We are painting my trim white and my furniture is like a really light FAKE wood with the child like flowers. All I want is white FURNITURE is that to much to ask. So how can I talk my parents into new bedroom (white) furniture and get rid of this 3 year old's junk?????????????? Help school starts again soon and I want my room done before then.
Another thing my Mom says that painting over those flowers is not going to happen. But I don't see the problem and the thrift store is a really good idea.
I know I sound very greedy but just so you know I have never picked out my own bed in my life! And I have only had three the first one broke so they had to buy me a new one it was one of those loft beds, then we moved and my mom came here by plane and bought the flower set I have now. All I ask is that I get some say in what I get next. not greediness.

Ask them.

Listen to their answer and respond to what they say.

By that I mean: Don't get stuck in your 'I want new' and 'this stuff sucks' tantrum. Listen to their answers, their protests and objections, and answer accordingly.

They say it's fine - it's not. It's too small.
They say the flowerprint does not matter - they have a point. But it's still too small.

Negotiate your way down to what you really want.

The bigger bed is most important. Give in on other stuff and suggest a paint-job for stuff you don't like the looks of - as long as you can get a bigger bed.
When they give in to the bed, say 'with a night stand'.

Good luck. You may not get everything but make sure to get what matters to you.

Decoration tips and ideas for a 14 year old teenager's bedroom?

I have a small messy room that i hate It is sky blue and has virtually no furniture that I use
I want to somehow incorporate an Asian/soccer theme into my room and the wall color idea I was leaning towards was like a sage but slightly lighter
ANYWAY!- I need some ideas please and perhaps where to find affordable bedroom furniture
Thnx!

I shop at Goodwill, Salvation army, and browse the furniture for sale ads in the newspaper. If you are going to look for the bed at a second-hand store, then don't worry about the color because you can add paint to change the look completely. I am not sure about an Asian/soccer theme, but here are some links for you to see Asian comforters online - http://www.domestications.com or http://www.domestications.com/dept.asp?N =0&Ne=1&Nu=p_RollupKey&Ntx=m ode%2Bmatchallpartial&Ntk=all_fields &dept_id=0&Ntt=asian&issearc h=1&Image2.x=11&Image2.y=10. Hee is another company - http://brylane.com. This link will take you to a comforter that is not Asian but it includes your sage and with some Asian artwork you can make it look Asian - http://brylane.com/decor/Regatta-Comfort er-Set.aspxPfId=170069&DeptId=15166& amp;ProductTypeId=1&PurchaseType=0 I suggest getting the comforter and window treatments and then decide on a color for your wall. For Japanese style decor, natural tones of brown, grey, and tan are popular. Accents in most Asian decors include gold, either as trim or wall color. Also, try to include bamboo.

Bill Clinton's boyhood home to join National Park system

Museum director Martha Berryman says the people around Clinton provided him with his first notions of "social justice," a theme he carried through his political life and into his post-presidential work.

Displays include pictures of grandfather Eldridge Cassidy's store, where he served white and black customers, which was an uncommon practice in Hope in those days. Cassidy was known to extend credit during hard times, sometimes forgive debts or slip extra food into a family's order.

"This is not lost on a little child with wide eyes and big ears," Berryman said.

Berryman produced a recent find, a snapshot of Clinton as a boy standing in front of the house. The white paint on the house is peeling badly.

"He (Eldridge Cassidy) couldn't afford to paint his house, but he could afford to let families have free food," Berryman said.

Berryman says she regularly straightens out myths — including misperceptions that the family lived in poverty, that Clinton was born in the house, and that his father abandoned him. The future president's father, William Jefferson Blythe II, died in a traffic crash a few months before his son was born.
