I've been looking for a home-based business for months and couldn't find an idea what kind of business I should start. Does anybody know a sight that I can go to, as reference.
Thank you.

Hi,
There are legitimate home based businesses.
the key is to know before you talk to people about their business what your criteria is for a home business. I went through two businesses and lost lots of money before I figured out what I was looking for.
Ask yourself some questions:
1. How much time do I have or how much time am I willing to spend?
2. Are the products or services things that people use everyday? are they consumable?
3. do I want to handle inventory?
4. do I want to collect money & deal with bounced checks?
5. do I want to deliver products?
6. Is this a business that most people can do?
7. How much money am I willing to invest to get started?
8. How much extra income do I need per month and how soon do I need it?
Once you know the answer to these questions it's easier to find the one that best works with your lifestyle.
I found the business I'm in now 3 years ago and get paid every month and it cost me less to get started than the first two I tried. I would not do anything else.
I hope this helps.
Nope. They have all more or less been exploited and have been turned into scams. They only way to legitimately make money at home is to come up with your own business (and not a pyramid sceme like Mary Kay or selling knifes). Those are numerous, but require some research & investment. You can sell specialized items on e-bay (i.e. appliance parts), become a photographer, cleaner, resume writer, herb seller, jewelry maker, baby sitter, etc... But you'll have to break through on your own.
I have an idea, Such as a selling greeting cards from home. But the only thing is that I don't know how to go about it? I would like to sell them online. Also I do not know if this is a good home base business to start or is there other ideas? Thank you
HI. I have an online business. I also make greeting cards & have for more than 20 years. I find them difficult to sell online. I have found that greeting cards sell better 'in store,' (I had them in a Christian book store for the past two years, and they did alright on consignment there). The idea of selling online is great though. I welcome you to share your greeting cards (I would like to see them!) and come to www.ecrater.com to sign up for a FREE store. It isn't like eBay, which charges for everything. eCrater is completely free, you have a store, pictures, listings, no final value fees, etc. I love it! I haven't had a sale there, I just set my store up this week! (I was on eBay, I am working on closing things down there...I have two items being bid on so I left them, over a 100 items were listed, and they are all on the way to eCrater.) It is worth the look-see to find out if that is the kind of store you want to try. The forums there are great, the people are so helpful. If you need additional help, just email me and I will help if I can. As for selling...find something that you love... you're going to have to live with it in your home for a while...is storage an issue? can you afford to have money tied up in investing in vintage items? do you have pets or smoke (are clothing items an option?) do you have another speciality?...antiques, books (highly popular online), etc. I would try a few searches on eBay (for example) in the WANT IT NOW section. Find out 'what' people are looking for... that may help.
I hope that helps.

Father of 'Balloon Boy' at Center of New Storm
The father of the 6-year-old Colorado boy who was thought to have been speeding through the sky for hours in a high-soaring homemade helium balloon is a self-described "storm chaser" who now finds himself at the center of another kind of squall.
A portrait is emerging of a publicity-seeking man who fled California with unsettled financial affairs and whose recent colorful past includes an appearance on ABC's "Wife Swap," a series of unusual inventions and a self-produced hip-hip video .
A Foxnews.com search of public records revealed that Richard Heene, 48, and his wife, Mayumi, owe thousands of dollars in connection to a company called My You Me Productions. Prior to moving to Colorado, Heene and his wife were aspiring actors in Los Angeles who met at an acting school, a source told Foxnews.com.
The state of California filed a $5,812 tax lien against Heene in 1993, and records show a small-claims judgment of $5,000 was filed against him in Los Angeles County in 2006. County tax liens totaling roughly $2,000 were found in connection to the production company, which is now known as Alternate Reality Productions, according to productionhub.com .
Opportunity Home Business Owners Miss | Home Based Small Business ...
People are emotion driven creatures and this along with a few other confusing ideas causes the biggest opportunity home business owners have to be missed.
I like to talk about “first thought”, you know, the one that got you all excited at the outset of starting your own business. Remember how you felt? Full of possibility, hope, and ambition?
So what happens?
Typically, and I don’t care for the word, we get caught up on the doing of things and forget about the idea of operating from inspiration and taking intentional focused action on a daily basis that is congruent with the purpose which fired our spirit at the outset. I’m guilty of it and you may be too.
An Opportunity Home Business Owner’s IgnoreThe entrepreneurs overlook is doing what they set out to do.
I love intuition, momentum, and creativity….
But to truly create something intentionally you have to know when your done. If your anything like me, you probably just keep on going.
