Has dry up dirt (soil) and weeds. I bought a couple bottles of weed killer since their is only a couple scatter around the yard. Can somebody please help me with instructions on how to prepare the ground so i can plant Bermuda grass? Or do I just buy the seeds and scatter them all over the yard? What kind of maintenance should I give them? I want to have a house warming party in about 4 months so will grass grow by that time?

I would check with the local Master Gardeners for instructions on what type of grass is best for your yard and how to get it planted.

If you have the money you can put down sod. That is the fastest way to get grass. If you have the time, it is not super expensive.

I have sprigged St Augustine in Houston, seeded blue grass in Denver and sodded St Augustine in East Texas. I really like the sod method.

note: im looking for the particular one that is very near the lake and it has to be near in dallas texas.
the reason why im lookin for it cuz Im gonna visit one of my grand parent's friends..

Sweetie, if you can get hold of a street address, which would be tremendously advisable, I could probably help you. But there are literally hundreds of nursing homes in Dallas, Texas. And there are a number of bodies of waters that could qualify for a lake.

And, then if you go and add in the city suburbs into the mix, you can add hundreds more.
