I have come up with designs for bathroom accessories, throw pillows and rugs that I have drawn on paper. I believe that this is going to be my path to financial freedom. I have had ideas in the past but I have become so passionate about this. Does anyone have any ideas about the steps that I could take in presenting them to companies to take a look at? I have my own name and logo.
I would advise you to take a small business course at university. That will give you lots of useful information, including marketing your products to corporations.
You may also find taking an interior design course helps, too.
You could also make some of your products and start selling them at fairs, online at places such as e-bay and locally, through small stores. This will give you an idea how popular they might be. This will also start to build you a reputation.
Often, large corporations don't just want a design, but want to buy large amounts of wholesale products from an inexpensive supplier, and other companies employ their own designers to maintain their brand image.
Contact sopme of the companies you had in mind and ask what their policies are.
Unfortunately, becoming Martha Stewart takes a lot of work.
This is a house that we have designed for a client. we are currently putting the DA in to council and will start building it next year. We have ...
I want to suggest my dad some good interior designs for our new home, like different kinds of furniture etc. Can anyone suggest some good websites where I can check some designs out. Also, if anyone knows a good interior designer in North Bangalore, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Hi !
A good place to start is www.hgtv.com and go to the rate my space page. You will get a lot of good ideas from that.
Have a great day!
Hi everyone. Is there anyone out there who could assist me in finding designs (free) without all the CAD software needed etc, for homes...I am going to be the luckiest lady, in about a year when my new home will be built to my exact liking, but it is difficult without seeing for myself some plans...I will ask the architect also at a later stage, but I am excited now and want to see ideas for myself...Thank you
Then do your own layout - have some fun! ...and when your ideas and dimensions are to your liking, then go to your architect, and have them drawn and approved.
There! A totally unique home you can say YOU designed!

I have to write a paper in English and basically make a presentation for a panel of judges. I picked that I will create a new home design for a sub division for my "job" and I need to know how to go about creating this?
I would first draw a floor plan for your new home design...Be sure to include some neat features that you would want to include in your home.....then, in your paper, describe the floor plan with all of these neat features. Pretend you are talking to a potential buyer and are trying to sell them this house. The more that you can describe about these neat features, the better your paper will be!!!!
I need actual home designs that are affordable between 800 to 1500 sq.ft. I'm interested in home designs that are entirely off grid using solar power and/or wind energy. I might want to use propane as a backup energy source. I've had trouble finding designs that you can buy online.

Tracey Taylor ยป New home for Michelle Kaufmann's prefab designs ...
San Francisco Chronicle, September 30 2009

Architect Michelle Kaufmann, who closed her Oakland firm in May, citing the impact of the financial meltdown and the plunging housing market, has sold the building rights to several of her signature prefabricated, sustainable houses to Boston company Blu Homes.
The deal, announced Monday, means Blu Homes will now offer versions of the Kaufmann-designed Glidehouse, Breezehouse, mkLotus and mkSolaire nationwide. The terms of the purchase have not been revealed.
“I’m happy for all the people who put such hard work into making MK Designs happen, and that these designs are going to have a new life,” Kaufmann said.
Blu Homes, which opened last year, has its own factory and has built 10 houses, mostly on the East Coast. Co-founder Bill Haney said that by applying it’s technological know-how to Kaufmann’s designs, Blu Homes hopes to offer the homes at a more economical price.
